Ghanshyam Singh Birla (1941-2024) founded the National Research Institute for Self-Understanding, in Montreal, and Colette Hemlin is a senior researcher there. For more than thirty years Birla was a student of Ayurveda, the Hindu science of healing that was the first to recognize the therapeutic potential of magnets.
