Ueber der kleinen Stadt lag sie wie ein dnner Schleier. Zuweilen lftete diesen Schleier ein frischerer Windhauch, der von Sden das Tal heraufzog. Aber es dauerte nicht lange und er war wieder herniedergefallen auf die reizlosen Zge, die er wie in Mitleid verhllte. Eigentlich waren es zwei Stdte, die hier zusammenlagen. Aber nur der Flu, ein trger, gelber Flu, trennte sie, und zwei Brcken verbanden sie: eine alte massive aus Stein, mit mchtigen Pfeilern und Quadern, die noch alles lautlos ertragen hatte, was ber sie hinweggezogen war, und eine neue aus modernem Eisen, welche chzte und bebte, wenn die groen Lastwagen ber sie hin fuhren, und grliche Massen Staub unter den schweren Rdern hervorhustete. ......Buy Now (To Read More)
