Margareta Magnusson nació un fin de año en Gotemburgo (Göteborg, Suecia) hace ochenta o cien años. Se graduó en el Beckman's College of Design en Estocolmo. Ha trabajado como artista toda su vida y su obra se ha expuesto en lugares tan remotos como Singapur y Hong Kong.
