Kruger stuns and delights with bold, in-your-face images depicting its renowned diversity of wildlife. Large page-filling images entice the reader to explore and enjoy the Kruger National Park's exceptional offerings. The concise, yet informative, text reflects how, when and where it all began and how the mega-park evolved over time. It paints a word picture of this world-renowned conservation area and icon of South Africa. In the second section of the book, an overview in the form of an identification guide gives brief information about the wildlife that visitors can expect to see on game drives in the park. Colloquially known as Kruger, the iconic park and its immediate surrounds is the most visited and renowned wildlife conservation area in southern Africa. This area includes the world-renowned Kruger National Park, several privately owned game reserves adjoining the national park, as well as a contractual park. Initiated by the Peace Parks Foundation, this region also forms part of the massive Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park, which straddles international borders and includes wildlife reserves in both Zimbabwe and Mozambique.
