Author J. Ward Boyce spent more than 35 years gathering information and talking to the members of this unique combat group, in order to compile the most complete, authorative and historically accurate account of their incredible adventures.

This is the true story of the "Flying Tigers" - A group of American adventurers, idealists and yes, mercenaries, who fought the Japanese in the skies over Burma and China in the early days of World War II, and who captured the imagination of the world to such an extent that 80 years later, their name is still as widely recognized as the shark's mouth insignia of their Curtiss P-40 fighter aircraft.
