Whether meeting up for happy hour after a long day of work, catching up with a friend, unwinding after another day of parenting, sipping a glass while stealing time for a long, quiet soak in the tub, or commiserating over lost love, lost parents, lost jobs, lost years or lost waistlines, our wine feels like a sacred ritual that a lot of us can relate to. "We should get together for wine sometime soon." is so familiar that it is just part of our common vocabulary. What could be better than shared wine with good friends? Sometimes nothing

But that isn't what this book is about.

This is a book about women and wine. It is not a book about alcoholism, and it is not a book about never drinking wine again. It is about awareness, not intervention, and is a thoughtful, reflective and whole-hearted invitation to explore our own relationships with wine. Talking about wine is trendy. Talking about drinking too much of it is not. In this honest, vulnerable and insightful book, Molly Davis suggests that wine, for her and perhaps for many women, has become a daily habit and coping mechanism, quietly wrapped in a lovely ritual. She wonders, when do we choose to drink wine to dull pain, avoid discomfort, cope with stress, and check out of reality? With courage, wisdom and wit, she generously shares her own answers to those questions, and invites us to join her in discovering our own.

Rather than hide behind our wine, Molly Davis boldly encourages us to step fully into our own lives and bring to ourselves, and to a waiting world, all that we have to offer. Now that seems like a possibility worth toasting

About the Author
Davis, Molly: - MOLLY DAVIS is a writer, speaker, facilitator and coach, with over twenty years of national and international experience. She is the founder of Trailhead Coaching & Consulting, and through her work helps people to courageously step more fully into their own lives by connecting who they are with what they do. For the past 20 years she has worked as a senior facilitator for Learning Point Group, where her primary areas of focus are leadership and supervisory development. Molly is co-author of the internationally published Letters to Our Daughters, written with her best friend, Kristine Van Raden. Highlighted on the Oprah Show, the book is a collection of letters from women to their daughters, and shines a light on the common threads that connect us as human beings regardless of circumstances. As a result of their cross-country book tour and subsequent invitations to speak, they founded Matters That Matter(R), a partnership to provide keynotes, retreats and workshops designed to inspire others to live according to what they care about. Their work has taken them to national conventions, annual fundraisers, and world-class health spas, including regular appearances at Rancho La Puerta near San Diego, California. Molly lives with her husband Tom at the base of Mt. Adams in Washington State. She loves nothing more than gathering family and friends together in their rustic home to eat good food, engage in real and sometimes raucous conversation, savor some good wine, and find rest, connection, and renewal together. Most days you will find her in jeans and well-worn cowboy boots.
