J. D. Vance grew up in the Rust Belt city of Middletown, Ohio, and the Appalachian town of Jackson, Kentucky. He enlisted in the Marine Corps after high school and served in Iraq. A graduate of Ohio State University and Yale Law School, he was elected to the United States Senate representing Ohio in 2022. In 2025, he entered office as the Vice President of the United States of America.

Kevin D. Roberts is the president of The Heritage Foundation--America's most influential policy organization--and Heritage Action for America. He earned his Ph.D. in American History from the University of Texas. A lifelong educator, Roberts taught history at the collegiate level before becoming President of Wyoming Catholic College. Under his leadership, the college adopted a policy of refusing to accept federal student loans and grants, lest it be forced to violate Catholic tenets. He also previously served as CEO of the Texas Public Policy Foundation, the largest state-based think tank in the nation.
