Her Demise

Her Demise tells a story that resonates the false security in believing, 'it could never happen to me.' The heroine, Jessica Nelson, finds the life she purposely built for herself, one she believes to be sound, collapse when she's told she is pregnant during an annual medical exam. Never intending to have children, Jessica's husband had a vasectomy shortly after they married, so when Jessica hears the unexpected news, she is stunned. Internally fighting with herself to embrace motherhood, Jessica feels like a failure when she is unable to produce maternal feelings toward her child.
