Integrative Sleep Medicine

Sleep is one of the key underpinnings of human health yet sleep deprivation and impaired sleep are rampant in modern life. Sleep and wake are a true yin yang phenomenon, each affecting the other and together forming a harmonious whole. Healthy sleep is a whole-body process impacted by

system, and botanicals and supplements. Specific sleep issues and disorders are then addressed from an integrative perspective, including insomnia, obstructive sleep apnea, sleep related movement disorders, and parasomnias.

Valerie Cacho, MD, is the president and founder of Sleep Life Med, an integrative sleep medicine practice based in Ewa Beach, Hawaii. She completed her sleep fellowship at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Cacho is board certified in Sleep and Internal Medicine by the
American Board of Internal Medicine.

Esther Lum, MD, is a board certified pulmonary and sleep medicine physician with over two decades of experience practicing sleep medicine. She completed her fellowship training at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Lum is board certified in Pulmonary Disease and Sleep Medicine by the
American Board of Internal Medicine, and she is board certified in Integrative Medicine by the American Board of Physician Specialties.
