ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

A very touching account in which Marcela Serrano takes us through the lives of different generations of women who have suffered a betrayal but have also betrayed others. Miguel Flores, a handsome college student is arrested during a protest against the Pinochet dictatorship. After spending days in solitary confinement at the police headquarters, he is sent to a rural area close to the capital, but isolated from all political activity.

His presence is not very welcomed among the locals; it creates hate and fear, except in Amelia, a middle-aged widow who is the owner of La Novena estate. She invites him into her home and little by little their relationship pushes him to question his previous prejudices; his feelings go from a hatred towards her to a constant attraction.
