He briefly attended the Tuskegee Institute but dropped out to return to the streets of the South Side, where he remained, pimping until he was forty-two. After several stints in jail, culminating in a ten month stay in Cook County, he decided to give up the life and turned to writing. With a family to feed, Slim folded his life into the pages of seven books based on his life; The Naked Soul of Iceberg Slim was the second autobiographical account Slim wrote. Slim died at age 73 in 1992; one day before the Los Angeles riots.\u003cbr\u003e","brand":"booksdeli.com","offers":[{"title":"Iceberg Slim \/ Paperback \/ English","offer_id":47792888152221,"sku":"9781936399192","price":35.97,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0619\/5648\/9373\/files\/img_5236566e-95c7-4213-9815-702f30d877a1.jpg?v=1774984222","url":"https:\/\/booksdeli.com\/products\/mama-black-widow-9781936399192","provider":"booksdeli.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
