It required no argument to show\r\nthat government protection alone was equal to the\r\ntask, and it was agreed that a movement to secure\r\nsuch protection should be inaugurated at once. So\r\nrapidly did events develop along the line of this idea,\r\nthat within the next eighteen months the Act of\r\nDedication had become a law, and the Yellowstone\r\nNational Park took its place in our countrys history.\nThe wide-spread interest which the discovery of this\r\nregion created among civilized peoples has in no degree\r\ndiminished with the lapse of time. In this country\r\nparticularly the Park to-day stands on a firmer\r\nbasis than ever before.
