    About the Author
    The Honorable David Nelmark is a district court judge in Iowa's Judicial Election District 5C, having been appointed in 2019. He is a longtime coach and judge of mock trial and moot court competitions. He received a BA from Drake University and a JD from Stanford Law School. He is a past president of the American Mock Trial Association.Justin Bernstein is the Director of A. Barry Cappello Program in Trial Advocacy and Lecturer in Law at UCLA School of Law. Professor Bernstein is the former president of the American Mock Trial Association and a current member of its board of directors. He teaches courses in trial advocacy and evidence. He received UCLA's Distinguished Teaching Award in 2022.
