    About the Author
    Kwon, Sunkyo: -

    Sunkyo Kwon, Ph.D., is research fellow at the Institute of Mental Health, Hanyang University. He has been director of the Applied Gerontology Graduate Program at Sookmyung University. Dr. Kwon has been involved in numerous ventures related to information and communication technology for the elderly, both in professional service and gerontological research. He earned bachelor's degrees at Yonsei University, RoK, and the University of Maryland where he was nominated as an Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi member, a Dipl.-Psych. (master's degree) at the Institute of Psychology, Technical University Berlin (TUB), and a doctorate at the Free University Berlin (FUB), summa cum laude. Dr. Kwon has held multiple research and faculty positions, among others as research scientist and/or professor at the FUB, at the Humboldt University Berlin, at the TUB Institute for Health Sciences/Public Health, and at Hallym University, RoK. He also served as research consultant at the Berlin Center of Public Health. Dr. Kwon has been a convener and co-convener of the Formal Interest Group on Technology and Aging (Gerontological Society of America) during four years and serves as an advisor for the South Korean National Information Agency.
