About the Author
Burstein, Fred: - Fred Burstein has had many jobs over the years: child mower of lawns; teenage plower of snow; adult actor; and elder teacher of the young. But whatever the job, his real work was to write stories and have them become books. This is his eighth published book, and like the first seven, this one is about growing up with animals. Fred Burstein and his wife Fran live in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains where their two daughters grew up playing in the woods, listening at night to owls and the brook below their bedrooms.
