Barton H. Thompson, Jr. is Robert E. Paradise Professor of Natural Resources Law at Stanford Law School, Professor of Environmental Behavioral Sciences at the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability, and a Senior Fellow at the Woods Institute for the Environment. He has written and co-authored several books, his most recent being Environmental Law and Policy, 5th edition (Foundation Press, 2019).
