About the Author
María Dolores Saavedra es licenciada en Medicina y doctora especializada en genética médica y endocrinología y nutrición. A lo largo de su carrera, se ha centrado en la nutrigenética, una disciplina que estudia las variaciones genéticas entre individuos y su reacción a los diversos componentes de la dieta, es decir, la distinta respuesta clínica a los nutrientes y metabolitos específicos. Recientemente, ha sido más conocida por ser la nutricionista de Carlota Corredera, quien consiguió un espectacular cambio al perder 65 kilos en un tiempo récord.

Saavedra ha sido investigadora en el Servicio de Endocrinología del Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón (Madrid), formadora en Pronokal y Diaprokal y actualmente es directora médica en Genyca Innova (análisis genético molecular), y realiza consultas privadas para el tratamiento de sobrepeso y obesidad.
