    About the Author
    Kevin R. Murray is an environmental law partner with Holland & Hart, based in Salt Lake City, Utah. His practice focuses on managing environmental liabilities, repurposing real estate assets, and creating value through property remediation and planning. Considered one of the nation's leading redevelopment attorneys, he is known for his strategic approach to crafting innovative solutions that deliver maximum value for his clients ranging from the largest international corporations to individual landowners. Leveraging more than 35 years of expertise of successfully remediating and redeveloping complex projects, Mr. Murray deftly navigates agency jurisdictional challenges. He has been the lead attorney for billions of dollars of acquisition and development of environmentally challenged assets worldwide, including many Superfund sites. Mr. Murray is a Fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers and an acclaimed adjunct professor of real estate development and finance at the University of Utah and Brigham Young University Law Schools, having taught since 1990. Mr. Murray's expertise has been recognized by leading legal and business organizations. He is well-published in many journals and periodicals, and a frequent speaker/lecturer on environmental law and real estate development issues. Mr. Murray was appointed by Utah Governor Huntsman to serve as a member of the Utah Solid and Hazardous Waste Control Board in 2005. He was appointed as board chair in 2011 and served in that role for four years. Mr. Murray has also held various executive leadership positions with the Urban Land Institute, the Dallas Bar Association, the Utah Bar Association, and other professional and civic groups.
