Seg n Hegel, el esp ritu se distingue de la Naturaleza por hallarse el primero en movimiento y desarrollo dial cticos. Hegel considera que la fuente del movimiento es la contradicci n interna del esp ritu. Todos los fen menos de la Naturaleza y de la Historia fueron considerados por Hegel como formas de manifestaci n, de revelaci n del esp ritu absoluto, como la forma de su autoconocimiento. En su obra Fenomenolog a del esp ritu, Hegel expone sobre base idealista la historia del conocimiento humano. Examina el proceso del conocimiento humano como la historia de la absorci n del objeto por la conciencia. Por eso, en su Fenomenolog a del esp ritu llega a una conclusi n completamente err nea, en el sentido de que el conocimiento humano tiene un final, es decir, que alcanza el conocimiento absoluto, donde el sujeto y el objeto se hacen uno en un absoluto. Este conocimiento o concepto absoluto fue despu s transformado por Hegel en el punto de partida de su l gica, que es, seg n l la doctrina sobre el pensar "puro". Hegel, como idealista, desnaturaliza de una manera grosera la historia del conocimiento humano. Marx escrib a que todas las cosas y los fen menos que en la Fenomenolog a del esp ritu de Hegel son contrapuestos a la conciencia y que son supuestamente absorbidos por ella, en realidad no son cosas y fen menos reales, sino s lo abstracciones, ideas de las cosas y de los fen menos.
