About the Author
In the early 20th century, Thomas Heaton Cooper emigrated from Great Britain, where his brother Alfred (and later his nephew William) ranked among the nation's most highly regarded watercolor landscape artists. Heaton taught at the Cleveland School of Art, where he drew upon his experience in landscape painting to impart his sophisticated understanding of perspective.
