About the Author
Paterick, Timothy E.: - "Timothy E. Paterick MD, JD, MBA, and Master's in Physician Leadership and Management, is a cardiologist with a passion for preventive health measures, sports medicine, the law, and teaching residents and fellows medicine. While practicing full-time cardiology Paterick has written over one hundred peer reviewed articles in medical literature, has been an invited speaker across the country on medical and legal issues, and has authored three other books: Invest in Yourself: A Cardiologist's Narrative for Heart Health, Health through Hope: Look in People's Eyes, and Physician: Time to Invest in Yourself-Work-Life Balance, the Needs of the Patient, and Medical-Legal Risk Management.His continued study of medicine, law, business, and leadership/management has led to an understanding of how they intersect and impact practicing physicians.Dr. Paterick played college basketball at the University of Wisconsin - Madison on scholarship. He then graduated from Rush medical school in Chicago, Illinois. After medical school he trained in internal medicine and cardiology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.Dr. Paterick is a lifelong scholar-athlete. He was named first team All State in high school and to the top 24 high school basketball players in America his senior year in high school. At the University of Wisconsin, he was awarded the Ivy Williamson award for outstanding achievement in athletics and academics. After completing medical education at Rush Medical College and his medical training at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Paterick completed his law degree at the University of Wisconsin followed by his MBA at Edgewood College. He also completed a master's degree from UT - Southwestern in Physician Leadership and Management.Dr. Paterick's passion is teaching medical residents, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and cardiology fellows and young basketball players. Many medical residents and cardiology fellows have achieved high levels of clinical expertise through his teaching and mentorship. Both his sons, having played Division 1 college basketball, exemplify his basketball-teaching prowess. They are highly successful professionals reifying his teaching/mentoring abilities. He attributes any success he has experienced in life to his wife and life-long best friend, Barb."

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
