Se le relaciona a menudo con Sigmund Freud, de quien fuera colaborador en sus comienzos. Jung fue un pionero de lapsicolog a profunda y uno de los estudiosos de esta disciplina m s ampliamente le dos en el siglo XX. Su abordaje te rico y cl nico enfatiz la conexi n funcional entre la estructura de la psique y la de sus productos, es decir, sus manifestaciones culturales. Esto le impuls a incorporar en su metodolog a nociones procedentes de la antropolog a, la alquimia, la interpretaci n de los sue os, el arte, la mitolog a, la religi n y la filosof a. Jung no fue el primero en dedicarse al estudio de la actividad on rica. No obstante, sus contribuciones al an lisis de los sue osfueron extensivas y altamente influyentes. Escribi una prol fica obra.
