Certain functions of the body are referred to as autonomic because they are involuntary and they are performed unconsciously. Like the body breathes without us thinking about it, so should architecture be part of the life of a business, without it being forced and without it being a planned event. As involuntary functions, there is no need to mention agility and as you will see, having architecture data on hand makes for an agile business.
