The Love Scrolls is a series of epic stories meant to celebrate, guide, uplift, inspire, and ultimately deliver the heart. The Love Scrolls is a non-sequential, rhyming epic but if you read the series in this anthology's chronological order you will see each book slowly peel away the layers of love until it finally uncovers all of love's seven unique stages. If you delve into each book you will discover each stage is in fact a world, and likewise, in this series there are worlds to discover. So whether you read the epic from cover to cover, or you choose a story that sparks your interest, or perhaps you find a poem you particularly love, you will not get lost but in love itself. I like to think that if you take the series in in small doses, it will be your desserts for the heart. If you choose to take it in all at once, for your heart you will find it choice meat, in a world starved of love. If you let love lift you up to its greater worlds awaiting you in this epic, you may even find love's feast. I like asking "What if?" because that is how The Love Scrolls began. Now, I have combined the first seven books of this rhyming epic series into this 700 page anthology. My reputation in college was affirmed when the poetic versus they asked me to recite at the lunch table turned into a realization. A fellow student from the performing arts class asked me to write a poem which was to be read before they performed that very evening. In about four short hours I wrote a poem called "The Gap Between Us". After seeing the response from the audience with some individuals even standing, I knew I was on to something great.

In 2003 I was named Poet of the Year and Shakespeare award of excellence recipient, an award I again received in 2005. In my first book review by ForewordClarion Reviews' they used words like "an admirable feat", "energy and emotion", "trappings of the classical literary ballad", "humor", "lighter and lyrical poems" to those with "serious thoughts" to describe some of my work.

It all started with "What if?". What if I take my love of great stories and great poems, and combine them into an epic that is at once deep and complex but accessible and easy with bite sized poems? What if this became more than just an epic? What if it became a mission, a mission to restore love? Then it becomes a journey. This epic is that journey because love is something worth fighting for, and there is no greater challenge, cause, or purpose under the sun. So to save a marriage, to save a soul, to make peace, to restore the bonds of family and God, and indeed, to preserve humanity itself, I present to you The Love Scrolls.
