Back by popular demand, these classic woodworking titles from Fine Woodworking magazine are filled with first-rate information that is as timeless now as it was when first published.

Veneering provides the means of using beautiful figured woods at a fraction of the cost of solid wood. It also allows woodworkers to use more stable substrates such as plywood and MDF and still achieve beautiful effects. In recent years, concern for the environment and the scarcity of select hardwoods have given woodworkers good reasons to take a second look at veneering.

Vacuum veneering, one of the few true innovations in woodworking technique in recent years, has made the process of veneering much more accessible to all woodworkers. While this book covers the basics of a variety of veneering techniques, including traditional methods, the heart of the book is a thorough introduction to vacuum veneering and practical advice on how small shop woodworkers can use veneering and lamination in their woodworking.
