Brian Nuttall has been breeding and working Patterdale terriers for well over sixty years and he has a wealth of experience that makes this book essential reading for both novice and veteran terriermen. This work is full of hunting anecdotes featuring legendary terrier breeders such as Cyril Breay, Frank Buck, Wally Wyld and David Machin. There are also tips on entering to large quarry, breeding a working strain and much advice on working terriers generally, with many photographs and interesting artwork illustrating the text, which makes this an important record for those interested in Patterdale terriers and working terriers in general. PLEASE NOTE: This book includes many low resolution photos which do not print well, so some are poor quality, but are an important part of the record of working Patterdale terrier history, so they have been included as an essential part of this work.
