About the Author

Dr. Claire Battershill is a SSHRC Impact Talent Fellow in the Department of English at Simon Fraser University. For the 2019-20 academic year she is also a Northrop Frye Visiting Fellow at Victoria University in the University of Toronto, where she teaches creative writing, interdisciplinary humanities, and book history. Her books include Circus (McClelland & Stewart, 2014); Modernist Lives: Biography and Autobiography at Virginia and Leonard Woolf's Hogarth Press (Bloomsbury, 2018); Virginia Woolf and the World of Books (co-edited with Nicola Wilson, Liverpool UP 2018); and Scholarly Adventures in Digital Humanities (co-authored with Alice Staveley, Helen Southworth, Nicola Wilson, Elizabeth Willson Gordon, and Michael Widner). Her current project, Gendered Impressions: Women and Letterpress 1918-2018, is forthcoming with Cambridge University Press.
