- " Sale agua! Sobre el progreso científico. La tecnología hace mejor nuestro mundo?" Un cuento inspirado en Jean-Jacques Rousseau (1712-1778)

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

The first collection of illustrated stories to learn about the world through philosophy, explained to children and adults as never before.

Who are we? What can we do to better understand others? What is it that helps us to be happy? And even more importantly, when should we start asking ourselves these questions?

The World According to Lea is a wonderful, illustrated picture book in which Lea, a very inquisitive girl, asks questions that are as important as they are difficult to answer: Who am I? What is death? Why is friendship important? What does it mean to be good or bad? Through philosophy, both Lea and the reader will try to find answers to these questions and will discover that it is important to never stop questioning the world.

Carlos Javier González Serrano, Philosophy and Psychology professor, through short and entertaining stories adapted for ages between 3 and 6 (and up to 99), encourages readers to reflect about themselves, others, nature, death, and to learn to think...all from the universal perspective of philosophy.

At the end of each story there is a "Keys to Thinking" section, which includes:
-a brief overview on the philosopher who introduced the subject matter in that story.
-questions that help parents reflect with their children about what they read in the story.

Stories included in this book:
- "Who is Leah?" A story inspired by Socrates (470-399 B.C.)
- "A Walk in the Park." A story inspired by Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862)
- "Lea Finds a Snail." A story inspired by Hannah Arendt (1906-1975)
- "What is a Friend?" A story inspired by Aristotle (384-322 BC)
- "Water Comes Out!" A story inspired by Jean-Jacques Rousseau (1712-1778)
