"The Dream of an Era" is an epic drama spanning 45 years, chronicling the life journeys of five elementary school classmates from Beijing in 1972, showcasing the transformation of Chinese society from 1972 to 2017. The lives of the five protagonists, Li Fei, Lu Cheng, Tang Long, Shu Xiaoping (female), and Du Xiong, illustrate the intricate interplay between personal destinies and societal development. The narrative begins with Nixon's visit to China. It unfolds in reverse chronological order, capturing historical milestones like the later stages of the Cultural Revolution, the 89 Democracy Movement, the return of Hong Kong, 9/11, the Beijing Olympics, and Trump's inauguration. The story is told through dual narrative threads, primarily in China and the United States. These intertwined narratives explore the evolution of Sino-American relations and follow the five main characters as they navigate choices, struggles, and growth amid historical shifts. To comply with regulations in different regions, the A Version will be published first, with the B and C Versions, covering 2017-2024, to be released subsequently. This work serves as a foundation, with the author inviting others to help refine and complete the script.
