John Henry Newman (1801-1890) has always inspired devotion. Newman has made disciples as leader of the Catholic revival in the Church of England, an inspiration to fellow converts to Roman Catholicism, a nationally admired preacher and prose-writer, and an internationally recognized saint of the Catholic Church. About the Author

Frederick Aquino is Professor of Theology and Philosophy at the Graduate School of Theology, Abilene Christian University, working as a philosophical and systematic theologian. He specializes in religious epistemology, the epistemology of theology, John Henry Newman, and Maximus the Confessor. His
publications include Receptions of Newman (with Benjamin J. King; 2015) and The Oxford Handbook of the Epistemology of Theology (with William J. Abraham; 2017).

Benjamin J. King is the Professor of Christian History at the School of Theology, University of the South, Tennessee. He specializes in nineteenth-century history and theology. He is the author of Newman and the Alexandrian Fathers: Shaping Doctrine in Nineteenth-Century England (2009).
