About the Author
Patricia Saunders Garfield and Alyson Amy Edge are high school teachers and parents. Together they have been working with teenagers and their parents for 29 years. Patricia has been teaching personal finance, economics and other business-related courses for 10 years. Prior to teaching, Patricia began her career in corporate business where she spent 15 years in sales, marketing and strategic planning. In addition to her California State teaching credential, Patricia holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Colorado and a MBA from Pepperdine University. Patricia lives in La Canada, California with her husband and two children. Alyson has been teaching accounting and other business related courses for 19 years. She currently serves as the director of the Academy of Finance at Burbank High School; a chapter of the National Academy Foundation. She was the Burbank Unified School District Teacher of the Year in 2004. In addition to her teaching credential from California State University Northridge, Alyson holds a BA in General Studies and a minor in Business Administration from Northern Arizona University. Alyson lives in Burbank, California with her husband and stepson.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
