Apollyon

One of the most experienced hitmen in the world is pushing the police inspector who is chasing him, to discover something of significant importance to himself. The evidence he leaves behind in his crimes is the breadcrumbs that lead to the ultimate prize: the world organization to which the criminal belongs and from which he has defected. Apollyon, the watchmakers who start the clocks of progress or stop them, the masters of life and death, the masters of peace and war.

They work in the white god's service, but something has caused their god to go mad. This happened in 1983, when the Siloam probe, launched by the Vatican, discovered something important that determined that an Extinction Level Event was approaching the Earth.

For the first time in history, prophets, scientists, and religions agree on a single criterion: The Equation of the End of the World tends towards a zero singularity, and nothing can avoid it.

At least, as the Holy Books say, two formidable meteorites will impact the Earth. They accompany Nibiru, the tenth planet, which will soon cross Earth's orbit. The second, Wormwood, will impact with such force that it will break the earth's crust and open the abyss.

The white god, the powerful, began on that date (1983) the colossal task of humanity: building deep-seated shelters capable of housing societies on a scale and the DNA of all species on the planet. Very few, very few, will survive the catastrophe.

Since that date, all the economic crises, pandemics, and wars have had only one purpose: to raise funds for this megaproject. No matter how many lives are lost, they have only selected a few hundred thousand to fill the salvation arks. None of the others are needed anymore.
