About the Author
Crewdson, Gregory: - Gregory Crewdson is a graduate of SUNY Purchase and the Yale University School of Art, where he is the director of Graduate Studies in Photography. His work has been exhibited extensively in the U.S. and internationally. The retrospective Gregory Crewdson toured Europe from 2005 to 2008, and the survey In a Lonely Place traveled throughout Europe, Australia, and New Zealand in 2013. He was the subject of Gregory Crewdson: Brief Encounters, a 2012 feature documentary directed by Ben Shapiro that focused on the making of Crewdson's ambitious series Beneath the Roses, which took nearly ten years and a crew of more than one hundred people to produce. Crewdson's awards include the Skowhegan Medal for Photography, National Endowment for the Arts Visual Artists Fellowship, and Aaron Siskind Fellowship. He is represented by Gagosian Gallery.Nemerov, Alexander: - Alexander Nemerov (essay) is the chair of the Department of Art and Art History at Stanford University. His recent books include Silent Dialogues: Diane Arbus and Howard Nemerov (2015), Wartime Kiss: Visions of the Moment in the 1940s (2013), and Acting in the Night: Macbeth and the Places of the Civil War (2010).

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
