Gros Ours Grincheux

Dans la forêt, par un jour pluvieux et venteux, quatre petits amis entrent dans une caverne pour se mettre à l'abri. Bien au sec, ils s'installent. Ils n'ont pas encore réalisé que la caverne est habitée... par un gros ours grincheux! D'un pas lourd, l'ours s'avance vers eux et les pousse à l'extérieur de la caverne. Mais les quatre amis n'ont pas dit leur dernier mot... Ils n'ont vraiment pas envie de rester dehors par un temps si mauvais. Il doit bien y avoir une façon d'amadouer le gros ours grincheux!

Moose, Lion, Zebra, and Sheep take shelter in a cave on a cold and rainy day, only to realize that a bear is there. The bear roars loudly and says that he is trying to sleep. Not understanding why the bear is so cranky, the other animals come up with ways to cheer up the bear. Moose finds antlers for him, Lion gives him a mane, and Zebra paints on stripes. Is there anything the four well-meaning friends can do to help the bear sleep?

Nick Bland was the son of an artist and a primary school teacher, and spent his early years on the farm where his parents lived. At age six, he moved with his family to "the bush." He wanted to be a cartoonist and a writer from a very young age. In 1996, he took a job at a book store, and decided to write and illustrate children's books. His first book, A Monster Wrote Me a Letter (J'ai rendez-vous avec un monstre) was published in Australia in 2005. He currently lives in Darwin, Australia and works full time as an author and illustrator.
