About the Author
Sylvia Dickens is an award-winning journalist with 30+ years' experience in news and feature article research and writing. Now retired, she lives in Ontario Canada with her current dog, Tyler, a 7-year-old Shepherd-Retriever mix that she adopted from the local humane society. This is one of several dogs she has adopted. Her previous adoptees were Cindy, a lab-chow mix and an American Eskimo Spitz, Kobe.
