About the Author
MacNeil, Mickey: - Mickey MacNeil is a generous tradition bearer with a gentle manner. His people came from the Isle of Barra in Scotland over 200 years ago. He was raised on a small farm in Jamesville, Victoria County, Cape Breton. He still lives there, in a house where visitors receive a warm and inviting welcome. Gaelic is his first language and this is his first book.MacDonald, Shamus Y.: - A Gaelic learner, Shamus Y. MacDonald has a Ph.D. in Folklore from Memorial University in Newfoundland. He often visits Mickey and other tradition bearers to hear tales and stories. He lives in Cape Breton with his wife and their two sons.MacDonald, Emily: - Emily MacDonald grew up in Cape Breton Island. Her ancestors originally came from Lochaber, Morar, and the Western Isles of Scotland. She is a Gaelic speaker and works at the Highland Village Museum in Iona, Cape Breton. She lives in Centreville, where she enjoys making art and walking in the woods with her dog. She is also the illustrator of the Gaelic folktale books Bodkin Beag and Bodkin Mòr, and Biorachan Beag agus Biorachan Mór.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
