Amy Hevron loves animals and grew up with many cats, dogs, birds, and fish. Her favorite childhood pet was a tabby cat named Alexander Wakefield Applegate Hevron. Amy is the illustrator of Trevor by Jim Averbeck and author/illustrator of Dust Bunny Wants a Friend. In both 2015 and 2016, Amy received the Portfolio Honor Award from the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
