About the Author

Paul Martin CBE is Honorary Principal Research Fellow, Institute for Security Science and Technology, Imperial College London, and Senior Associate Fellow, Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies (RUSI). He has thirty years' experience in the national security arena and from
2013 to 2016 he was the Director of Security for the UK Parliament, with responsibility for the physical, personnel, and cyber security of both Houses. He was educated at the University of Cambridge and Stanford University, where he was Harkness Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral
Sciences.
