A Preacher's Guide will open your eyes the next time you prepare to preach and minister the Word of God. In this book you will be transported to the ultimate level of ministering God's Word behind the pulpit. Many people step behind the pulpit to minister, yet fail to understand what they are doing. Or, sometimes they are simply confused about what to do. Therefore, the Lord has instructed me to help in this area. Sometimes the prepared message is not properly arranged and thus the message ends up all over the place. This book will open your eyes and help you receive more understanding about how to properly preach the Word of God so that you may rise to the next level. To begin, we must talk about preaching God's Word since many people have no understanding of how to preach the Word of God. A lot of people do it for their own pleasure or self-satisfaction. But they don't see the actual power of preaching the Word of God and how it will result in the deliverance of souls that are bound by the enemy. The Scriptures say in 2 Timothy 3:16 that, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correction, and training in righteousness." Paul clearly told Timothy that the Scripture is the breath of God. In John 6:63, Jesus says, "The Words that I speak to you, they are spirit and they are life." In the book of Hebrews 1:7, He said, "He makes His angels as wind and His servants as flames of fire." Jesus blew on the disciples. He said "Receive the Holy Spirit." Apostle Paul mentioned in the book of Ephesians that we are, "ministers of life and restoration." In the book of Job, the Scriptures say, "When we die, the breath of life returns to its owner."What I'm trying to teach and impart to you is that the Word of God is the very breath of God. It is life to our spirit, soul, and body. Ezekiel was in the valley and the Lord asked Ezekiel, "Can these dry bones live again?" and He told Ezekiel to "Prophesy and breath will come upon them that they will live again." The Word of Ezekiel brought breath of life to the dry bones to live again. Thus, the purpose behind preaching God's Word is to speak life to people's souls. As preachers it is not your duty to speak words of judgment or condemnation. You are supposed to be bringing them out of the darkness, up and out of the pit of the enemy. The Scriptures say in Genesis, "He blew on the mud and life entered," and man become a living being called Adam. When you are preaching the Word of God you must be able to bring life to the body of Christ, not condemnation. Preaching is not about what you desire to do. It's about what The Holy Spirit wants to do. Most of the time, whether you realize it or not, you could be doing it according to your own desires. Some people even go so far as to preach topics based on what they heard through gossip or private matters a brother or sister has shared during counseling sessions which should have been confidential and private information. The life and issues of the people are not supposed to be mentioned on the pulpit while preaching. Counseling is counseling and preaching is preaching. The Scriptures say the Word of God is there to teach. "A Prophet is not known by his gift or his anointing, but by his fruits." Prophet Kervin
