About the Author
LeBlanc, Georgette: - Originaire de la baie Sainte-Marie en Nouvelle-Écosse, Georgette LeBlanc est titulaire d'un doctorat en Études francophones à ULL (University of Louisiana at Lafayette). Aux confluences du narratif et du lyrique, ces romans en vers libre transgressent le genre normatif. Elle a collaboré et contribué à la scène théâtrale et musicale à titre d'interprète, d'auteur et de collaboratrice. On la retrouve aussi dans diverses revues littéraires où elle publie poèmes et textes exploratoires plus intimistes. Elle a enseigné la création littéraire à son alma mater, l'Université Sainte-Anne en Nouvelle-Écosse et habite présentement la baie Sainte-Marie d'où elle crée son Acadie plurielle, maintes fois irrationnelle. Sa démarche artistique continue de privilégier l'oralité, l'Histoire en toutes ses dimensions et la poésie du corporel.
