Miguel Ruiz Montañez (Málaga, 1962) es escritor e ingeniero. Licenciado en Ciencias económicas, ejerce como profesor visitante en varias universidades americanas, entre ellas la Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, en la República Dominicana.

Su primera novela, La tumba de Colón (Ediciones B, 2006), supuso un brillante debut para una carrera que se consolidó con otras obras como El papa mago, El país de los espíritus, Objetivo la luna y La sangre de Colón.

Traducido a una veintena de idiomas, ha entusiasmado a lectores de Europa, América y Asia gracias a la potencia y agilidad de su narrativa.
