About the Author
Jeyarajan, Gaiathry: - Dr. Gaiathry Jeyarajan is a psychiatrist who completed her medical training at Saba University School of Medicine, in the Netherlands-Antilles and her psychiatry residency training at the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada. She is actively involved in teaching medical students and residents and hopes to inspire the next generation of physicians to view their work through a trauma-focused lens. Her clinical practice includes various marginalized and underserviced communities throughout Ontario. Having pursued extensive specialty training in trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder, she takes an empathic and eclectic approach toward treating her patients. This book is a reflection of her genuine desire to help break the cycle of child abuse. Outside of work, Dr. Jeyarajan likes to spend time with her family and friends, meditate, jog, hike, swim, play soccer, and travel.
