About the Author

Karen Chernick is a Tel Aviv-based writer who prides herself on knowing obscure historic facts about the cityscape, plus the best place to get lunch. She can often be found at recently opened art exhibitions, the market, or walking along the Mediterranean (a view that never gets old). Her stories about hidden gems and worth-splurging eats have been featured on Smithsonian, Atlas Obscura, Artsy, Haaretz, and The Times of Israel , among other publications.

Shira Rubin is an award-winning journalist who's lived in Israel for the past decade. She regularly writes about travel, food, tech, politics and culture for The Atlantic, Foreign Policy, Bloomberg, the BBC and several other outlets. Shira has been living in the Middle East since 2010, when she studied Arabic as part of a US State Department scholarship in Cairo in the months leading up to the Arab Spring. Shira speaks English, Hebrew, Arabic and French. She is based out of Tel Aviv.

Sara Toth Stub spent a decade reporting from Israel for Dow Jones Newswires and The Wall Street Journal, covering everything from the diamond industry to interest rates to elections. Now an independent journalist based in Jerusalem, she mainly writes about travel, business, religion and archaeology. Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

Shipping
