Heaney is associate professor of Christian mission and director of the Center for Anglican Communion Studies, Virginia Theological Seminary. Heaney is also a member of the planning group for the Lambeth Conference 2020 and author or editor of a number of articles and books including Faithful Neighbors: Christian-Muslim Vision and Practice.
