The purpose of this field manual (FM) is to provide doctrine and tactics, techniques, and procedures for health service support (HSS) units and personnel operating in a nuclear, biological, and chemical (NBC), radiological dispersal device (RDD), and toxic industrial material (TIM) environment. The manual provides information for use by commanders, planners, leaders, and individuals in providing HSS under these adverse conditions. The use of trade or brand names in this publication is for illustrative purposes only. Their use does not constitute endorsement by the Department of Defense (DOD). The proponent of this publication is the United States (US) Army Medical Department Center and School (AMEDDC&S).
