About the Author
Juan Francisco Ferrándiz nació en Cocentaina (Alicante) en 1971. Licenciado en Derecho, ejerce actualmente como abogado en Valencia. Es director del programa de radio Una nit al Castell, sobre historia, tradiciones, enigmas y leyendas valencianas, que se emite en varias emisoras a través de la Xarxa d'Emissores Municipals Valencianes. Sus novelas anteriores, Las horas oscuras (Grijalbo, 2012) y La llama de la sabiduría (Grijalbo, 2015), lo han consagrado como uno de los autores clave de la ficción histórica de nuestro país.

En su última novela, La tierra maldita, Juan Francisco Ferrándiz retrata la Barcelona del siglo IX con el talento y el rigor de los grandes maestros del género.
