En otras versiones en castellano el ttulo que se le ha dado es "Los novios". El transcriptor estima que "Los novios" est ms acorde con el ttulo original y el tenor de la obra. En una nota al pie de pgina el traductor traduce "quatrini" como "maravedes". El transcriptor cree que una traduccin ms adecuada de "quatrini" al castellano es "dinero" o bien "monedas". Asimismo el traductor explica en otra nota al pie de pgina que "polenta" es una comida con agua y harina de castaas. Esto es correcto segn ha podido constatar el transciptor. Sin embargo en la actualidad la versin ms conocida de la receta de polenta es con agua y harina de maz. El criterio utilizado para llevar a cabo esta transcripcin ha sido el de respetar las reglas de la Real Academia Espaola vigentes cuando la presente edicin de esta obra fue publicada.
