About the Author

One of the country's most informed economists, Alan Beaulieu is a principal of the Institute for Trend Research where he serves as President. Since 1990, he has been consulting with companies who have a domestic and global perspective on how to forecast, plan, and increase their profits based on business cycle trend analysis. Alan is also the Senior Economic Advisor to the NAW and the Chief Economist for HARDI. Alan specializes in applied research regarding business-cycle trend analysis, growth-cycle trend analysis, and the utilization of cyclical analysis at a practical business level. He is a featured speaker at corporate and trade association meetings both in the U.S. and overseas and makes about 150 personal appearances each year. He has spoken to thousands of business leaders in manufacturing, healthcare, distribution, real estate, construction, and technology forums. Prior to joining ITR(R), Alan operated and was a partner in several firms, where he developed great practical expertise. From the early 1980s to the early 1990s, he was also an adjunct faculty member at Daniel Webster College in Nashua, NH, a position he loved and that prepared him to get business leaders to understand and apply business cycle economics. At ITR, Brian has been engaged in applied research regarding business cycle trend analysis and the utilization of that research at a practical business level. The thrust of the work is to provide companies with the means to anticipate economic changes before they happen in order to maximize growth and profit potential. For the past 26 years, he has been giving workshops and seminars across the US and Canada to thousands of business owners and executives in a wide range of industries. Prior to joining the Institute, Brian was an economist in Washington, DC for the US Department of Labor where he worked on the health care component of the Consumer Price Index. Brian's views have appeared in/on: the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Barron's, USA Today, CNBC TV, FOX Business TV, Knight Ridder News Services, Reuters, CBS Radio, the Washington Times, Atlanta Journal Constitution, KERA TV, Canadian TV, and numerous other outlets. Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly.
