Rob Forsyth trained at Cambridge and Oxford Universities. His general paediatric training was in Nottingham before moving to Newcastle to complete a PhD in brain energy metabolism. After a fellowship in Vancouver he was appointed as Consultant and Senior Lecturer in child neurology in Newcastle in 1997. He has a research interest in recovery from paediatric acquired brain injury and a longstanding interest in medical education. He is a former National Training Adviser for the British Paediatric Neurology Association and secretary of the European Committee of National Training Advisers in child neurology. He is Secretary of the European Paediatric Neurology Society, on the editorial board of European Journal of Paediatric Neurology and a former member of the editorial board of Developmental Medicine and Child Neurology.

Daniel E. Lumsden is a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at the Evelina London Children's Hospital where he leads the Complex Motor Disorder Service. Following graduation from the University of Cambridge, Dr Lumsden completed his clinical training in the South Thames region, developing an interest in childhood movement disorders. During this time, he completed a PhD in Imaging Sciences, continuing this work as an Adjunct Clinical Senior Lecturer, where his work has focussed on the application of Advanced Neuroimaging techniques to the selection of children for Deep Brain Stimulation. Dr Lumsden is currently a trustee of the British Paediatric Neurology Association, chairing the Movement Disorder Interest Group.

Filipa Rodrigues studied at Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto. During her general paediatric training in Aveiro she developed a particular interest in Neurosciences and carried out two Neuropediatric residencies, one in Lisbon and the other in Barcelona. After her fellowship in Coimbra she was appointed as a Paediatric Neurologist in Centro Hospitalar Baixo Vouga - ULS Regi?o Aveiro, having a special interest in epilepsy.
