Sacred Nature Volume 2: Reconnecting People to Our Planet is a beautiful 288-page fine art wildlife photography book, supporting the protection of our planet and its priceless wild places. This book takes the ethos of the first volume and applies it to the whole planet - to our savannas, forests, deserts, mountains, oceans and polar regions. Jonathan and Angela's intention is to reveal the wonder and beauty of our world, instilling a sense of awe and concern for its well being. In 2016 Jonathan and Angela Scott published their award-winning book Sacred Nature: Life's Eternal Dance (HPH Publishing 9780994692405). This book, the standard edition of which is now out of print, was Angela's vision brought to life by the artistry of their son David's design work. The book was met with overwhelming success and won Gold in the 2017 Independent Publishers awards (IPPY) for Photography. Volume 1 centred around a place close to the Scotts' hearts -the vast Mara-Serengeti ecosystem in East Africa where they have spent much of the past forty years, somewhere they describe as The Last Place on Earth. This is a corner of Eden so breathtaking to behold that it is almost beyond belief that it might one day die for lack of care and foresight on the part of humanity. We must do everything we can to help protect these last wild places. The Scotts explored the natural rhythms that permeate the African savannas and woodlands, illuminating life's eternal dance.

About the Author
Scott, Angela: - xScott, Jonathan: - "Canon Ambassadors Jonathan and Angela Scott are award-winning wildlife photographers and authors who live in Kenya. The only couple to have won the overall award in the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition as individuals, they have also written and illustrated 30 books, including best-selling safari guides to East African animals and birds, and acclaimed children's titles for the Collins Big Cat series. Angela was born in Alexandria in Egypt and from the age of four lived in Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. The great Serengeti National Park was the scene of happy days on safari with her family, stimulating her lifelong love affair with photography. Jonathan first set eyes on the Mara-Serengeti while travelling overland through Africa in 1974. This was the savannah Africa depicted in Born Free and Serengeti Shall Not Die, films and books he had marveled at as a child in England. In 1977 he came to live permanently in the Maasai Mara, dedicating his life to documenting the lives of its wild inhabitants. Jonathan and Angela were married in the Mara in 1992, and from 1996 to 2008 worked on the hugely popular TV series Big Cat Diary, with Jonathan as co-presenter and Angela as production stills photographer and game spotter. They now divide their time between their home in the leafy Nairobi suburb of Langata, overlooking the beautiful Ngong Hills, and a stone cottage in Marsh Pride territory at Governor's Camp in the Mara.
